OUR COOPERATIVE CONCEPT
Oregon Preschool, Inc. (OPI), is a licensed parent-cooperative preschool for three- to six-year-olds. At OPI, we offer the unique opportunity for parents to be directly involved in their child’s academic development. Parents and teachers form an invaluable partnership as they interact together in the classroom and at other OPI events. This environment demonstrates a strong sense of community to our children and helps them feel comfortable and confident. The play-based, hands-on program—in a classroom that celebrates each child’s uniqueness—facilitates a lifelong love of learning. It also allows parents to observe their children interacting with their peers, which provides a comprehensive view of how their child learns and socializes. This parent-teacher-student experience creates a space where the children flourish. It also forms the foundation of future involvement throughout the child’s school years.
MISSION STATEMENT
Our mission is to provide opportunities for children to stimulate their love for learning during the most formative time of their lives: the first five years. Social, intellectual, emotional, and physical development are the basis of our program with emphasis on individual, small group, and large group interactions. We are a non-profit, non-discriminatory, non-sectarian school.
